Shenbi (literally magic arm) Town is a peninsula in the Yangtze River in Luzhou city, Sichuan province in southwest China. Used to be the site of old Luzhou city, Shenbi Town is surrounded by the river on three sides of west, north and south, each rising up from the water with steep cliffs, and only connected to the land on the east side.  The place, a natural fortress easy to hold but hard to take, held back Kublai's arm for more than 30 years. It is now a historical site and tourist attraction, with not many local residents. For the people living across the river, Shenbi Town is like a historical neighbor with little connection to their daily life.
